yep u damn right, cali is the most diplomatic stae in the U.S. of A Look up the definition of diplomacy. yes!! it's great to live in CA!! That's what all teenagers say. Honestly I don't care for three reasons. 1. Anybody can get married. Only the government may or may not recognize it. Not to mention your honeymoon might not be legal if you marry an animal or minor. 2. Most of the hubub about gay marriage is about tax benefits (why they want .gov to recognize the marriage) and sticking it to the "breeders". Most homosexual couples just don't care. They don't need a .gov approved certificate to validate their union. 3. Government shouldn't have damn thing to do with marriage in the first place. Which is why I support a national income tax (capped of course) or a flat 17% on the income tax.

Honestly I could give two shits what the government thinks about my personal life... Outlawing gay marriage is totalitaristic.

Outlawing gay marriage is totalitaristic. Are there actually states that bust down doors of religious buildings to go in with SWAT to break up a same sex marriage and arrest the couple along with the priest? If so please point out a few cases. As far as I know there haven't been any. Government just doesn't recognize same sex marriages. You and other guy can be married at any church that will have you, but it won't be recognized by state/fed government. So don't even toss out the word "totalitaristic" unless the scenario above is happening on a monthly basis. Save that word for countries that behead, stone, hang, etc. homosexuals.

Not to mention Iran and quite possibly Saudi Arabia. Former I think two couples from said country were seeking asylum in Europe. One was deported though. On the latter I think woman was beheaded after accusations of being a witch. All this happened a while back though. Oh how I how I hate organized religion and their attempts to trample over my rights.

Ironic with what you just said Chez, considering your avatar. It says "Proud Friend of Isreal" not "Proud Friend of Judaism"

I think the Israelis have done a pretty good job of keeping a lot of religious bullsh*t out of goverment. So far I think no homosexuals have been put to death, non-jews are not treated as second class citizens, and there isn't a ban on the sale of pork and alcohol.
Now as far as things go with the Jewish people. I don't have a problem with them because they leave me the hell alone. Unlike a majority of Christians in this area.
