So, what do you call it? I call it Pop. When talking to people from other states who refer to it as 'soda' I call it that. But I usually stick to just pop.

I usually call it "soda". But sometimes I call it by its brand name ("Coke", "Sprite", "Pepsi", etc.). Both of which make me stick out like a sore thumb here in Australia, where everyone else calls it "fizzy drinks".

Pop. I'm from the Chicago area, in which most natives in northern Illinois call it "pop." However, this is not the case in the south, in which I get bitched at and told it's called "coke" or "soda."

it's kinda weird...i usually just call it by the name or just soda.
but just a couple hours away in buffalo, EVERYONE calls it pop.
it's like a whole different world.
